Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS): COMPLETED!

Before you complain that I can’t have completed it, because it’s Animal Crossing, hear me out. Sure, you can get 100% of the items in your catalogue. Or maybe get a Perfect Town rating for so many days. Or win all the trophies. There’s no real way to complete Animal Crossing as such, but you can complete certain goals. I set myself a goal, and today, I hit my target. What goal? To play Animal Crossing: New Leaf every single day …

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

This week I hit the 350 hours played mark. That’s a lot of hours. I’m pretty sure that’s more hours than I’ve spent on any previous game in the series, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of my most played games ever. And yet… I’m still playing every day, and I still feel I’m nowhere near done. Sure, there’s a load of furniture I’m missing (much of which I’ll probably never get – like the Ice stuff, and …

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

And still the game goes on. I found out that the reason I didn’t have a Gold Shovel yet is because I simply haven’t bought enough fertiliser. So I’ve been buying fertiliser. But what to do with all my fertiliser? Send it to Agent S, of course! That girl (yes, it surprised me too) loves fertiliser. Probably. Then my transvestitism was unkindly brought up when the less tolerant than expected Lopez questioned why I was wearing a lady’s hat. Because …

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

And still I’m playing this. I’ve yet to miss a single day of play, in fact. That puts me past the number of consecutive days played of any previous version for sure, and, past the number of days in total I’ve played both Wild World and Let’s Go To The City. I don’t recall how many days I actually played the Gamecube version for though. I know it was a lot, and pretty much a year from start to finish, …

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

“Make it so!” So I did. Well, I sat there and pretended to, at least. That’s me in the Pikmin 3 themed house that showed up over Spotpass this week in the Happy Home Academy Showcase. I ordered some nice things from it too. Aside from that diversion, I sold all my turnips and made about 4 million bells. I gave over a million away, because I’m nice like that. Invested in another 6000 turnips for this week, even though …

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

I’m now fully settled into the town of Cheese, and have planted all the trees and expanded my house a bit. Not that I’m making best use of the space in my house: But anyway. I’ve built two bridges, a street lamp, and the Dream Suite too. I’ve only used the latter to update my “dream”, and haven’t actually visited anyone yet. I’ve been far too busy making all the Bells. Although I’ve not ditched the traditional TURNIP FRENZY method …

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

It is The End Times. Again. Remember Animal Crossing on the Gamecube? I played it daily for months. Remember Animal Crossing on the DS? I played it daily for over a year. Remember Animal Crossing on the Wii? I played it daily for three months until my Wii died and I lost my saved game. I now have the 3DS version. In the first week of owning it, I’d played it for 34 hours. It became my most played 3DS …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

I had a day’s worth of clock-stepping to catch up with today, so got a fair amount of stuff done. Sold all my turnips for 178 bells each, which wasn’t too bad. Also made around 70,000 bells selling fruit and some fish I’d caught. Today was a Flea Market day, and so I went round everyone’s houses and bought loads of stuff. Not because I needed it, but because I thought it would be funny to she them all with …

Things I’ve been playing recently

A few things that might not warrant a full post each. Or I’m lazy. Or both! Or neither. Super Mario 64 (Wii U) Technically, I’ve been playing this on the Wii U, but it’s actually the N64 game on the Wii Virtual Console via the Wii U.  Erm, but anyway. I’ve not got very far in, and playing it was mainly to entertain my daughter, but I’ve picked up about 15 stars. It’s still one of the best games ever made, …

Things I’ve Played Recently

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS) Glorious. Oh, you want more? Erm, really glorious? It’s the best Zelda game since Minish Cap. Mainly because it’s the only Zelda games since Minish Cap, sure, but still. Yes, yes, I know there was Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass and those Wii ones and stuff, but they’re not proper Zelda games. Don’t argue. Nintendo have taken the essence of a proper Zelda game, reused the game world from A Link To …

Things I’ve been playing recently

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies (3DS) I completed it, sure. But then Capcom went and released a DLC case for it this week. So I had no choice but to buy it and play it. I’m not far in yet, as I’m still on the first day of investigation, but it’s awesome. And it has my new favourite character – Marlon Rimes. Who is a sort of pirate marine zookeeper rapper. Oh yes. Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) I …

Games I’ve been playing recently

Another roundup! Woo! Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) I’ve played this every single day now for more than four months, and you’d think it’d have grown old by now. But no – I’m still finding new things to do. Being October I’m collecting Spooky Furniture, and this week I managed to pass Gracie’s 4th and final test so she’s now opened up a store inside newly renovated T&T’s. Excellent. Luigi’s Mansion 2 (3DS) Still in the Clock Tower, but have …
